When the iGuard for gas shuts off the gas how do you re-light the stove?
When the iGuard shuts off the gas stove it does so by closing the iGuard gas valve thereby shutting off the gas, so the flame goes out.
Unlike the electric stove model that has the auto-resume feature, the gas stove model does not auto-resume. Otherwise, the gas would begin to flow again because the stove knob had not been turned off and the iGuard has no way to re-light the element.
To resume cooking you must press the “Gas” button on the iGuard and then re-light your stove element.
