On the dashboard there are 3 locks that allow you to lock out the iGuard and prevent the stove from being used. It gives you total control at the touch of a button
1. The Master Lock,
2. The Scheduled Lock
3. Extended Cooking Timer lock.
When either the Master or Scheduled lock is engaged the panel will show this.
The Manual operation of the Schedule lock is simple. It’s either locked or unlocked by tapping the button.
When activated the automated scheduling feature allows you to disable the stove during certain hours of certain days of the week. This will prevent someone from waking at 3am and then deciding to cook everyone breakfast and then falling back asleep with the stove left on.
NOTE: If the schedule allows for a period where the stove can be used, then the Master Lock works as a lock/unlock toggle during that period. Otherwise, the iGuard will be locked out by the schedule.
When the schedule has the iGuard locked it will look like this.
OVERRIDE AUTO-RELOCK –
If no action has taken place within 15 minutes of you unlocking the iGuard remotely, then the locks will automatically re-engage giving you security again.
If someone does turn the stove on to cook during that 15-minutes wait period, then they will get to use the stove. After they turn the stove off the locks will automatically re-lock after 15 minutes. If they turn the stove back on before that 15-minute wait period expires, then they will be able to cook once again. It's like a single use release.
If the stove knob had been left in the on position when the locks engaged, when the locks release you will have to press the STOVE button on the control panel to energize the stove.
